6th World Junior Wushu Championships
Burgas, Bulgaria, Sep 25th – Oct 3rd 2016

GENERAL COMPETITION INFORMATION

A. DATE AND PLACE
The 6th WJWC will be held from September 25th to October 3rd, 2016 in Burgas, Bulgaria.

B. VENUES
1. Competition Venue: Sport Hall Mladost, Burgas, Bulgaria
2. Training Venue: Sport Hall Mladost, Burgas, Bulgaria

C. COMPETITION EVENTS
1. Taolu Events:
Group A: 3rd Set of International Competition Routine: Changquan, Daoshu, Jianshu, Qiangshu, Gunshu, Taijiquan, Taijijian, Nanquan, Nandao, Nangun; Duilian
Group B: Changquan, Daoshu, Jianshu, Qiangshu, Gunshu (1st Set of International Competition Taolu), Nanquan, Nandao, Nangun (International Compulsory Routine) 42 Forms Taijiquan, 42 Forms Taijijian
Group C: Changquan (No.3 Elementary Routine), Daoshu, Jianshu, Qiangshu, Gunshu (Elementary Routine)
2. Sanda Events:
Male: 48kg, 52kg, 56kg, 60kg, 65kg, 70kg, 75kg and 80kg
Female: 48kg, 52kg, 56kg and 60kg

D. QUALIFICATIONS
1. All official & provisional IWUF Member Federations/Associations are qualified to participate in the Championships.
2. Only those Federations/Associations which have paid their IWUF annual membership fees for 2015 and 2016 will be permitted to participate in the Championships.
3. New IWUF member federations may be invited to take part in the Championships after their applications have been accepted by the IWUF.

E. ENTRIES
1. Preliminary Entries
The Preliminary Entry Forms must state the exact number of competitors taking part in the events. The preliminary entry forms must reach the Organizing Committee and the IWUF Secretariat no later than 24:00 (Bulgaria & Beijing Time respectively) July 25th, 2016. These must be sent by email and post to the below addresses:

2. Final Entry:
All final entries must be submitted through the IWUF Online Registration System. All sections of the online entry must be completed in full, including the uploading of the various required documents. The deadline for the final entry to be completed through the online system is 24:00 (Bulgaria Time) on August 25th, 2016. Each team is required to print a copy of the submitted entry and present it upon arrival and registration in Bulgaria.

TAOLU COMPETITION

A. COMPETITION EVENTS
1. Group A: 3rd Set of International Competition Routine: Changquan, Daoshu, Jianshu, Qiangshu, Gunshu, Taijiquan, Taijijian, Nanquan, Nandao, Nangun; Duilian
2. Group B: Changquan, Daoshu, Jianshu, Qiangshu, Gunshu (1st Set of International Competition Taolu), Nanquan, Nandao, Nangun (International Compulsory Routine) 42 Forms Taijiquan, 42 Forms Taijijian
3. Group C: Changquan (No.3 Elementary Routine), Daoshu, Jianshu, Qiangshu, Gunshu (Elementary Routine)

B. PARTICIPATION METHODS
1. Each country or region may enter one (1) team.
2. Each taolu team shall be composed of a maximum of sixteen (16) members including: one (1) team leader, two (2) coaches and one (1) doctor and the following competitors:
– Group A: 4 competitors (2 boys and 2 girls, who were born between January 1, 1998 – December 31, 2000)
– Group B: 4 competitors (2 boys and 2 girls, who were born between January 1, 2001 – December 31, 2003)
– Group C: 4 competitors (2 boys and 2 girls, who were born between January 1, 2004 – December 31, 2009)

Each Taolu competitor of Group A may enter at most 4 competition events (1 bare-handed routine, 1 short weapon routine, 1 long weapon routine and 1 dual event)

Each Taolu competitor of Group B may at most enter 3 competition events (1 bare-handed routine, 1 short weapon routine, and 1 long weapon routine)

Each Taolu competitor of Group C may at most enter 2 competition events (1 bare-handed routine, 1 weapon routine: either 1 short weapon or 1 long weapon)

3. Each competitor should bring along with them a valid Health Certificate (including electrocardiogram, pulse and blood pressure) issued within 30 days prior to the star of the competition signed by a qualified doctor and a Life Accidental Injury Insurance Certificate. All competitors are required to submit a completed and signed waiver of liabilities form, which has been signed by the competitor’s parent or legal guardian

C. COMPETITION METHODS
1. Competition includes individual competition only.
2. Unless otherwise states within these regulations, the competition will be conducted in accordance with the “IWUF Rules for International Wushu Taolu Competition”.
3. Time limit: 42 Forms Taijiquan: 5-6 minutes; 42 Forms Taijijian, 3rd Set of Competition Taijiquan and Taijijian Routines: 3-4 minutes. There is no time requirement for other events.
4. The power of interpretation of the Rules rests solely with the IWUF. In the event of discrepancies in the interpretation of the Rules, the Chinese Text shall prevail.

D. COSTUMES & EQUIPMENT
1. Competitors shall wear wushu competition costumes in compliance with the rules during all events. This must be brought & prepared by the competitors themselves.

2. All weaponry must conform to the requirements as stipulated in the rules. This must be provided by the competitors themselves.

E. PLACING & AWARDS
Awarding for all Taolu events will be respectively as follows:
1. 1st – 8th place: If the number of competitors is 10 and above in a single division
2. 1st – 3rd place: If the number of competitors is between 6 & 9 in a single division
3. 1st – 2nd place: If the number of competitors is between 3 & 5 in a single division
4. No placing or awards will be bestowed if the number of competitors in a single events comprises of 2 (two) or less competitors.

SANDA COMPETITION

A. COMPETITION EVENTS
1. Men’s Sanda Events:
– 48 kg
– 52 kg
– 56 kg
– 60 kg
– 65 kg
– 70 kg
– 75 kg
– 80 kg
2. Women’s Sanda Events:
– 48 kg
– 52 kg
– 56 kg
– 60 kg

B. PARTICIPATION METHODS
1. Each country or region may enter one (1) team.
2. Each sanda team shall be composed of a maximum eleven (12) members including: one (1) team leader, two (2) coaches and one (1) doctor and eight (8) competitors (5 boys and 3 girls), who were born between January 1, 1998–December 31, 2000).
3. Each team may enter only one (1) athlete per weight category, and each athlete may enter only one (1) weight category.
4. Each competitor should bring along with them a valid Health Certificate (including electroencephalogram, electrocardiogram, pulse and blood pressure) issued within 30 days prior to the star of the competition signed by a qualified doctor and a Life Accidental Injury Insurance Certificate. All competitors are required to submit a completed and signed waiver of liabilities form.

C. COMPETITION METHODS
1. The competition will be Individual Competition.
2. The single knockout system will be adopted. If the number of competitors is 3 or less, a single round – robin method will be adopted.
3. Following arrival and registration, the athletes will go through the initial weighing in and drawing lots formalities as stipulated in the schedule. All Sanda athletes will be required to weigh-in daily during the competition. Details regarding this will be circulated at a later time once finalized.
4. Unless otherwise states within these regulations, the competition will be conducted in accordance with the “IWUF Rules for International Wushu Sanda Competition”.
5. Kicks to the head as well as successive/continuous punches to the head are not permitted.
6. The duration of each round shall be 1 minute 30 seconds
7. The power of interpretation of the Rules rests solely with the IWUF. In the event of discrepancies in the interpretation of the Rules, the Chinese Text shall prevail.

D. COSTUMES & EQUIPMENT
1. Competitors shall wear costumes and protective gear in compliance with the “Rules for International Sanda Competition” to participate in the competition.
2. Each competitor is required to possess two (2) sets of competition costumes: one set in black and one set in red.
3. Each competitor is required to possess their own mouth guard, jockstrap, and instep guard.
4. Gloves and other protective equipment will be provided by the Organizing Committee.

E. PLACING & AWARDS
1. The top three place athletes within each weight category will be receive a placing and award for both men and women.
2. Third place athletes will be placed in juxtaposition.
